Little Update...

As you all already know, our transition back to the States has not been as smooth as we had hoped. Things are getting better and having Aloysius around has been the best thing ever!!!

I finally started working on Valentine's Day. Yes, it took 6-7 weeks to complete my processing, but I am once again working for th NYC Dept of Education which is what I wanted all along :) Work is going well. I worked one week, then had a week off for Winter Recess...yuppeee!!! This week it was even harder leaving Alejandro. I should be happy he stays home with Hairpin, but I am really jealous instead :( Work itself is good. I have great kids and the school hours are a definite bonus! Aside from working at the NYC DOE, I am also doing Early Intervention evaluations for little ones (0-3) who have gross motor challenges and are perhaps not developing as they should be.

Eric continues to look for a job. The finance world does not appear promising at this point, but working for Financial Aid Department at a University is looking like more of a possibility.

We haver started running again which feels great!!! I also started trying to eat helthier so I can drop some of this extra weight I am carrying around. I started a new blog about my journey to a "healthier me," but then realized I really have no time for it right now. Instead, I am keeping track of my weight loss right here:) There is a Lily Slim Ticker at the very bottom. I started 7 FEB 11 and have lost 5 pounds so far with just exercise and watching what I eat!

Wow...that's a long time to get all your processing done but glad you're working now.

I feel you about being jealous of not being the one home with baby Al. When Steve retires I'm sure I'll feel the same way. I'd like to be the stay at home mom lol

I'll be keeping Hairpin in my prayer to find a good job. Glad to see an update. I've been thinking of you guys.

Oh I almost forgot....Thanks for the Valentines Card....Kendall loved it and Al is so darn handsome.

I'm sorry it's been a slow transition -- and I too will keep Eric in my prayers to find a good job. Here's to a healthier "all of us"! I'm thinking of you guys...and wishing you were here! :-)

Good luck with your healthy eating and exercise plan. Now that you are back into a routine, it should all fall into place. I have Rene watching his sodium & fat intake, his BP has been a little elevated, easier said than done, LOL............
