That is how long it took us to fill up our first pasta container, aka sharps container, with Aloysius' used lancets and pen needles.
There will be many more full containers to last a last a life time.
And, they are our reminder, that each and every day we give little Aloysius "health." We are grateful that we can manage Aloysius' Diabetes and have the ability to instill in him a healthy lifestyle at a young age. Aloysius is a brave little guy. He is doing amazingly well with all of it; the 7-9 daily finger sticks, the 4-6 insulin shots, awaking to a finger stick at 10PM, which sometimes leads to more insulin and another stick at 1AM, and then possibly a repeat of events at 4AM; and not to mention getting out of bed in the middle of the night so we can check his Ketone levels because his sugar is high. So much for a little two year old boy...but, he is handling it like a champ. We are so proud to be his parents. We love you so much Aloysius!
