Little A woke up safe and sound in his room. Last night Flounder was really worried about the high winds. The windows seemed to be bulging inwards when the strong gusts hit. Since there is a garden with a medium sized tree just out back, Flounder kept imagining that a large branch would come crashing into one of the windows. Hairpin moved little A's dresser between the bed and window just to be on the safe side. Lucky for us, it was not needed.
At around 9AM things looked calm outside so we decided to take a walk by the river. The water levels were back down again,
but the walking paths were really muddy.
Little A enjoyed being in the backpack. We did not want a repeat of yesterday by the water!
Then, out of no where it started pouring and that was the end of our walk.
Hairpin, Flounder and Aloysius are very lucky to have been spared a power outage or any kind of damage. We feel for our fellow New Yorkers as well as all of those folks who were greatly affected by Sandy.
