It just so happened that Lilly's travel team, the Massachusetts Stars, had a soccer tournament out in Long Island about one hour from our home. There was no way we were going to miss out on that! We headed out for a Saturday game on a very chilly morning. Hairpin and Aloysius kept as active as possible to keep warm.
The cousins, Lauren, Gabi and Rosie kept warm by piling on jackets and blankets.
It was great to see Lilly play as we had not the opportunity in a long while.
Go Lilly go!
Afterwards we all went out for a pizza lunch....YUMMY!
Lilly and Aloysius enjoyed lots of snuggles.
Baby Sushi was all smiles!
The Abuelos loved spending time with Tio Ray,
and so did Sushi
and little A!
We were very excited when cousin Rosie requested to spend the weekend with us! It has long been the custom, that once one of Flounder's 6 nieces turns thirteen, she gets to visit NYC for the first "solo" weekend away from home. Rosie turned 13 this year, but was unable to come to NY for her visit. So when Rosie decided to stay, the wheels in Flounder's brain started spinning fast. By evening we were in a car on the way to the Big Apple!!!!
It was extra special because Lauren and Gabi came as well!
We went to pick up some goodies from the Hershey's store...
Rosie's Dad joined us as well...even better!
We had fun walking around in Times Square
and even got to enjoy a Broadway Show!
Rosie, we LOVED having you and are so grateful you chose to stay the weekend with us:)
