As folks may or may not know, Flounder, Hairpin, the Abuelos and the boys have a long road trip planned for the holidays. The idea is to leave at 3AM Saturday morning to maximize the boys' sleep time in the car. Needless to say, there's a million things to do to get ready for vacation. The snow over the weekend caused some havoc and things had to be re-scheduled. It turned out we had some thing to do every night of the week. So on top of just our normal busy life, we also had to try and get everything in order for our road trip. Talk about Flounder being stressed!
Aloysius' Universal Pre-K was having their holiday party today. He was very upset that Mama and Daddy were not going and protested that all the other parents were going. Being that the Abuelos have been to all the events, i.e. Halloween and Thanksgiving party, without any issues what came next was quite a surprise. Sobs from Aloysius which ended up being a blessing in disguise.
We called in sick this morning and left the house as if headed to work. Aloysius was still upset, but we stood our ground. We headed to Starbucks for some tea and coffee while we created our long list of "things to do." (It was so much fun just to be out and about without any worries). We returned home after Aloysius left for pre-K and got A LOT of packing and organizing done for the trip...Hurray! And then came the best part...SURPRISING little A at school. Can you see the look of pure joy emanating from his face? So worth it:)
The kids signed Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer for us.

Checking out Aloysius' work.
Loved these...
And then came the time for the munchkins to give their parents a love-made gift!
A reindeer picture frame...how perfect!
Pure happiness:)
