The Telcare Blood Glucose Meter is a cellular-enabled blood glucose meter that instantly transmits Aloysius' glucose values to our cell phones. Now we know what his blood glucose levels are throughout the day. At his current pre-school/daycare there is no need for it because we trust the staff there immensely. They have been managing his diabetes along with us for the last 2 years and 4 months. Kindergarten next year is going to be a different story and we needed to feel more connected since Aloysius will be at least 40 minutes away over the George Washington bridge at school while both Hairpin and I are in NYC. So far we love it and so does little A. Aloysius describes it as "cool" and says that he likes "that it sends it to you at work."
